My 3Ghz Athlon II X4 does the same in my msi MB - taking it all the way down to 1.4v did seem to cause some problems (as I recall). I usually get a different error message when this happens but I get SYSTEM-SERVICE-EXCEPTION and KMODE-EXCEPTION-NOT-HANDLED quite often. I think I have updated most if not all drivers but the problem persists and I cannot find any solutions.
